Justin Blayney

Justin is from a farm town north of Kansas City, Missouri and was raised on one of the largest farms in the area. He became interested in cooking in high school and began working at a local country club, where he remained for 10 years. During his tenure, he worked his way from an apprentice role to sous chef. He transitioned to corporate dining as a sous chef and eventually executive catering chef at Cerner Innovations in Kansas City before making the move to Colorado and subsequently joining the Bon Appétit at Colorado College team. He loves the electric crowd and atmosphere at Ed Robson arena.

While his favorite dish to eat is birria tacos, he loves to make smoked brisket, as it is a simple dish that requires good technique to make it special. When not at work, Justin can be found playing in his adult hockey league or spending time with his fiancé and their two Great Pyrenees dogs.
