Healthy Kids in The Colorado College Kitchen

Bon Appétit would like to invite Colorado College faculty and staff’s elementary school-aged children in grades 1st through 5th to join us in the Bemis Lounge for a two hour workshop featuring activities in healthy eating and cooking. In this fun and interactive program, Executive Chef Ed Clark, Healthy Kids educator and Colorado College alum Maggie Kraft, and the Bon Appetit team will demonstrate how whole fruits and vegetables can be transformed into a healthy meal. You are welcome to accompany your child during the two-hour program, or you can leave him/her with us and use the time for your own productivity. If you choose to leave, we encourage you to join us for our “Healthy Kids Picnic” during the final 20 minutes of the program. By learning about the connection between what they eat and their ability to do what they enjoy, children will go home with a newfound power to make better choices for their health.
